New Years 2012

Had a fun-filled Xmas and New Years (picture above of my apartment, and me being a Crackberry addict even during a party). I've started 2012 with a spectacular sore throat, possibly a good sign to keep me indoors and focused on work. My resolution this year is, of course, to keep expanding Maqaroon and come up with lots of cute products and fun marketing ideas. I also really hope to get Maqaroon stocked in some cool online shops, which will be especially useful for customers outside Europe. As a designer, I've always been most passionate about my work being accessible to as many as possible. I'm not interested in being "super exclusive" and trying to sell things for pretentious prices to a limited audience. I think anyone who has good taste and 'gets' a concept, should have the right to own and afford that piece of design. Sometimes, children have the best taste of all, as everything they like is inherently emotional and uplifting!

Oh yes, I do realise that a blogger portrait is overdue...those are being held back a bit because I'm expanding the shop over the next 2 weeks and it would be more fun for people to come back to loads of brand new stuff than the same site from before.
